The QDC Process
Most remodeling projects are a process of evolution. There are many details that evolve around the space planning and room design of any project. The perfect project is like a gorgeous mosaic, a complex creation of many fine details made up of specific materials, style, color and finishes — a careful blending of form and function that must all fit seamlessly together.
No matter how rich the mahogany grain or vivid the granite, if they don't flow together, the cabinet doors open wrong or the layout doesn't fit your needs precisely, the project is flawed...excuse the pun, but that simply goes against our grain!
To create the detail and tailor a custom space just for you, we need to get to know each other and really understand your needs. To get the process started we encourage you to make an appointment for a FREE initial consultation in your home. During this meeting, we will have a chance to introduce ourselves and start to review our extensive portfolio of projects and begin to review the many design options from cabinetry and countertops to fixtures and flooring.
There are two principal Phases to the evolution of the project. It is at this time that we like to set-up an appointment with you for a complimentary visit at your home to start the "Preliminary" phase or Phase 1. Unless we are providing consultation services only, once you have approved the preliminary phase, we then establish a Design Agreement, accept a deposit and start the "Final" phase or Phase 2. Upon entering into a Purchase Agreement for your project, all fees paid to date are credited against the purchase price of the project.
Some design firms send their customers out on their own to choose elements such as appliances and fixtures... not at Quintessential Designs. As a part of a complimentary service, we go shopping with you to ensure that the appliances and fixtures will go with your other choices and fit into the overall design of the project.
Once we have all of the elements in place and agree on a final plan, our staff then goes to work to develop every aspect of your project. That's how we can pay particular attention to all of the special touches and detail.
During the entire time the project is under way, we keep in constant communication with you, answering all of your questions and keeping you informed. Our goal is to provide you with a wonderful result and experience, one that you will enjoy everyday and for years to come.
